Loose Herb packets
We also offer our range of herbs and blends in 30 gramme packets for use with charcoal blocks for hands-free smudging.
This is an excellent way of cleansing and purifying an area while you are focussed on an activity, such as meditating, which prevents you holding a smouldering smudge bundle.
For static smudging, on occassions when you need to have your hands free or don't wish to be distracted by holding a smouldering smudge bundle, we supply packaged loose herbs (the same herbs and blends we use to make Eartharomas smudge bundles) and charcoal discs.
The charcoal discs are easily ignited by candle and burn slowly and uniformly for up to an hour or so on a bed of sand. The smudging is easily done by sprinkling a small amount of the herbs of your choice over the charcoal once it is ignited.

Charcoal Discs
You will find these first quality Swiftlite charcoal discs a great tool for burning your loose herbs. Some herbs don’t burn as readily as others and using a charcoal disc will overcome any problems keeping the herbs alight.
Simply fill your earthen bowl or shell with sand for insulation, as the charcoal gets very hot, and then using something (tweezers or an old fork) to hold the charcoal over a flame (a candle is safe and efficient) until the disc starts to smoulder. Then place it onto the sand and you are ready to safely burn the herb/s of your choice and free to be otherwise occupied.
If you only need the charcoal burning for short periods of time, simply cover it with sand to extinguish it ready to use again. |
