This is an excellent way of cleansing and purifying an area while you are focussed on an activity, such as meditating, which avoids the need to hold a smouldering smudge bundle.
How to Use:
Place a charcoal disc, well side up, onto sand in a censer bowl. using a candle, light the edge of the charcoal by holding flame to it for about 20 seconds. The charcoal will then spark across the surface. Wait for the charcoal to heat up, this usually takes about 3 minutes. Sprinkle your herbs over the charcoal and enjoy their healing potential and rich earthy aroma. When you are finished burning your herbs, the charcoal should be left to burn out and cool in the censer bowl. Be careful your censer bowl isnt hot before touching it.
Caution: Charcoal discs get very hot so never hold directly when lighting. Always make sure the disc is completely cold before disposing of. Keep away from children and pets. Never leave unattended.
